Q.
Where can I find information regarding your prepress requirements, such as
bleeds, margins and document formats and sizes?
A.
Please see our
Guidelines page.
Q.
How long does it take to receive an estimate on printing services?
A.
We will typically quote a price for you the same day if your request is
submitted during business hours, and the next business day if it is not.
Q.
What are your turnaround times?
A.
Overall turnaround depends on your preferred printing and shipping priorities.
Please refer to our
Turnaround page for details.
Q.
How do I upload my artwork to you?
A. Please see the handy Upload Tool button in the header. It will
take you to a page with complete upload instructions.
Q.
What type of files do you accept?
A.
We prefer print-ready PDFs. Although not preferred, we can also proof from EPS,
TIFF, and JPG files. We can also work with PSD, AI, INDD, QXP, and CDR files,
however there could be issues between versions (fonts, links, etc.), so it is
preferred that you use tools within those programs to make print-ready PDFs.
Instructions for making a print-ready PDF are available on our
Guidelines
page.
Q.
What are your proofing options?
A.
In some instances, you
will receive a proof in PDF format via e-mail. In order to review the proof, you
will need the Adobe Acrobat program or the free Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is
available at
http://get.adobe.com/reader/. In other instances, we will send a
courier or hand-deliver your proof. Whichever way you get it, please carefully
check each proof for errors! Once we receive your final approval in writing
(e-mail is acceptable), your print job will be done exactly as your approval
specifies.
Q.
What is a PDF proof?
A.
A proof allows you to review and approve your final print design. It represents
the product we will print according to your specifications. The PDF file will
also include necessary bleeds (outer margins that will be trimmed) and
alignment. When you receive a proof, please examine it carefully and then give
us your approval in writing (e-mail is acceptable) to print your order.
Q.
What are your Coating options?
A.
We offer a variety of coated and uncoated stock, depending on the product. UV
coating, which adds a high gloss finish, is a frequently requested coating.
Q.
Do you color-match?
A.
We cannot guarantee an exact match in the color fidelity or density of our
products. This is due to variances presented from a computer monitor to the
final product. However, we do guarantee that our products will not be defective
in accordance to the standards of the commercial printing industry. Meaning we
will utilize the color values supplied to us in your artwork and the outcome
should be within an acceptable range. To avoid drastic changes in color make
sure to create your artwork within the CMYK color space, utilizing the
GRACoL2006 Coated 1V2 color profile.
